Jonathan Star has assembled selections of Rumi s verse in a treasury that spans the mystic - poet's life and includes his most celebrated and poignant work. It is an illuminating volume of classic Eastern thought that creates an exhilarating experience for all readers. Star's translation of Rumi's poetry is the best to date and he is to be applauded for the inclusion of a generous complement of heretofore untranslated extracts."
